HDA x Taith: Canada Programme

Learning beyond boarders

Horn Development Association (HDA), in partnership with Taith, has brought together an outstanding Welsh delegation to take part in a transformative knowledge exchange programme with Canada.

The delegation includes representatives from industry, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) provision through Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC), and higher education through Cardiff Metropolitan University. Together, we are building meaningful international partnerships that create lasting opportunities for communities across Wales.

Through collaboration with Canadian organisations, government bodies, and sector leaders, the programme focuses on sharing innovative approaches to employment readiness, education, inclusion, and community development.

A key objective of the exchange is to improve outcomes and create new opportunities for asylum seekers and underrepresented communities in Wales. By learning from successful Canadian models and sharing best practice, we aim to strengthen pathways into education, skills development, and meaningful employment.

The journey has only just begun. HDA is already putting key insights into action and is excited to welcome a Canadian delegation to Wales later this year to continue building strong international relationships, deepen collaboration, and maximise long-term community impact.

Together, we are creating connections that extend beyond borders and investing in a future built on learning, inclusion, and shared success.
